Patch of Land hosted our first monthly real estate crowdfunding webinar on January 21st, 2015 at 5 p.m. PST. The webinar was a success, as we attracted a nice crowd of individuals looking to learn more information about real estate debt crowdfunding and how Patch of Land operates in general.
The webinar began with Patch of Land's CEO, Jason Fritton. Jason spoke on a multitude of topics including: The guidelines the company operates under (Regulation D Rule 506(c)), the difference between debt and equity investments, Patch of Land's niche as a national alternative real estate lender, how to become a national real estate investor with Patch of Land, and the company's motto and goal of Building Wealth and Growing Communities.
Douglas Cochrane (SVP of Acquisitions & Underwriting) chimes in after Jason to better explain Patch of Land's underwriting and due diligence process. Doug describes the best way for a developer to get a prefunded real estate rehab project through Patch of Land, and clarifies exactly what the company looks for when it comes to approving a loan. The two gentlemen then open up the webinar for discussion and were able to field a variety of questions from the live audience.
