Jor Law

Jor Law is a co-founder of VerifyInvestor.com, the resource for accredited investor verifications trusted by broker-dealers, law firms, companies, and investors who insist on safety and reliability.  These verification are required by federal laws for generally solicited Regulation D, Rule 506(c) capital raises.  In addition to being an entrepreneur, Jor is an active angel investor and crowdfunder, often serving as a mentor and advisor to companies.  Jor is frequently sought out as a speaker internationally on the topics of capital raising, investing, EB-5 finance, securities, and other corporate matters relevant to attorneys, entrepreneurs, and investors.  Jor is licensed to practice law in California and New York.  Jor received his J.D. from Columbia University and his B.A. from UC Berkeley.

Jason Fritton

Jason Fritton is the CEO of the peer-to-real estate crowdfunding platform, Patch of Land. Jason originally conceptualized Patch of Land in early 2011 as a means to help rescue parts of Chicago devastated by the real estate crash. He has been involved with crowdfunding legislation since the beginning and worked with Congressmen to lobby for the crowdfunding exemptions that were written into the 2012 JOBS Act.  Previously Jason served as Director of Digital Marketing at a national retail company. He also worked in technology project design and procurement in the public sector, managing a major buildout for the US Army. Jason studied philosophy & history at Cornell College.

Jay Kerner 

Jay Kerner is the President and CEO of U.S. Realty Partners, a regional commercial real estate operating company and consulting firm focused on high quality properties from California to Denver. He has over twenty nine years of experience in the acquisition, operation, development, leasing and management of retail, multi-family, office and mixed use properties. Mr. Kerner was formerly Regional Director of Capital and Counties, U.S.A., a privately held real estate investment trust with 2.5 Million square feet of retail, office, multi-family and mixed use properties organized as a subsidiary of Capital Shopping Centres Group, London (a publicly traded FTSE 100 company; CSCG.L). In addition to his duties overseeing acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and operations, he was a key executive involved in the sale of the company to Equity One (NYSE; EQY) in 2011 for more than $600 Million. Prior to that, he was Senior Director of Acquisitions for Federal Realty Investment Trust, a public REIT with more than 19 million square feet of high quality mixed use and retail properties in the best markets in the U.S. (NYSE: FRT). Mr. Kerner was also President of Kerner Management and Investments, a regional shopping center operator and developer, for more than 10 years. Over his career, he has been personally involved in more than $1 Billion in commercial real estate projects. Mr. Kerner is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Business & Economics. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served as a speaker at past events. In addition, he holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 27, 63 and 79 securities licenses and is California Real Estate Broker and General Contractor. Mr. Kerner is also the author of Chasing Yield; an Individual Investor’s Guide to Passive Commercial Real Estate Investments.

Richard McCay

Richard McCay is CEO and Co-creator of Tieback Realty Finance, Inc. and co-founder of Tieback Holdings, LLC. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CA #98075) and a licensed real estate broker (CA BRE #01041555) with an NMLS mortgage endorsement. Richard has spent the majority of his professional life in the accounting and real estate industries in various roles. A sampling of his experience includes raising capital, syndication, feasibility and return analysis, troubled debt restructuring, project repositioning, tax structuring and return preparation. He has experience with most property categories including land, retail, residential, office, industrial and mixed-use. He worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers and Kenneth Leventhal & Co (acquired by Ernst & Young). Richard holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Joel G. Block

Joel G. Block is the CEO of a real estate hedge fund and he has been a principal in over 40 syndicated transactions throughout his career. For much of the last 20 years, Joel was in the venture capital business - frequently on the entrepreneur side of the table. Though he has conceptualized, capitalized, operated and sold several companies, his favorite was the development of a personalized financial product which he sold to a Fortune 500 company in 1995. In 2012, Joel formed a team to launch the Bullseye Capital Real Property Opportunity Fund, LLC, a real estate hedge fund that acquires distressed multi-family and commercial assets nationwide, adding value that is shared with investors. Joel is also a professional speaker and has delivered numerous lectures at university business schools, not to mention having produced and delivered hundreds of hours of paid programming to entrepreneurs all over the United States and beyond.
