The SEC Discusses Regulation A+ in an Open Meeting

The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) will be holding a Sunshine Act Open Meeting to discuss Title IV of the JOBS Act, specifically the portion referred to as Regulation A+. According to the SEC's website, "The Commission will consider whether to adopt rules and forms related to the offer and sale of securities pursuant to Section 3(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 to implement Section 401 of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act."

Those involved in the crowdfunding space are highly anticipating the results of Wednesday's meeting. With any luck, the discussion will bring forth more clarity to the final rules surrounding Tier 2 of Regulation A+ under Title IV of the JOBS Act. Hopefully after Wednesday's meeting the general public will have more insight on how this legislation will effect small company capital formation in the United States.
