Last week, Patch of Land and Pepper Hamilton co-hosted LA’s first Real Estate Crowdfunding Education & Networking RECEN Meetup as well as the MarketPlace Lending Meetup in downtown Los Angeles. This Meetup allowed attendees to learn more about the P2P, P2B and P2RE marketplace, and to hear from presenting companies: Patch of Land, Orchard Platform, Pepper Hamilton, and Prosper. The night was a huge success of casual networking, delicious food, and great presentations. Jason Fritton, COO of Patch of Land, started off as the first speaker of the night and introduced the peer to real estate marketplace. Jason demonstrated the efficiency and seamlessness of Patch of Land’s platform, and the highlight was when an investor funded a project on the platform half-way through the presentation! The audience was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Overall, the presentation was very well received, with many intriguing questions from the audience. President Rob Suber of Prosper followed with his inspiring presentation on peer to peer lending, centralizing around the theme of the tremendous opportunity and scalability in marketplace lending. This Meetup was remarkably informative and influential, and the first of many to come. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and see you at our next event!
Networking with food and drinks. A big shout out to Millenium Trust for sponsoring this event! For more photos, please visit the Meetup group page.
